National PTA is a national organization which promotes the welfare of all children and youth, with a focus on legislative action and lobbying. Each state has a state PTA with districts for all local levels. All PTA's are individual 501(c)3 non-profit organizations.
Our JAMS PTSA belongs to the Santa Monica-Malibu Council of PTAs in the California PTA (CAPTA).
JAMS PTSA is a place where your voice can be heard and your vote can be counted. Through community raised funding and volunteer efforts, JAMS PTSA provides direct support for students, staff and families with:

SMMPTA Council in SMMUSD

The Santa Monica-Malibu Council of PTAs is an association made of up the PTA units in the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District in Southern California. With 15 PTA units, the Santa Monica-Malibu PTA Council is where all SMMUSD PTAs come together to share and exchange information, connect with the broader education community and build leadership skills as advocates for all children and families.
The Council officers work to support individual PTAs in their volunteer and advocacy work at each school site, while serving as a liaison between school PTAs and SMMUSD, the cities of Malibu and Santa Monica, SMEF and additional organizations. SMMPTA is part of the Thirty-Third District PTA and the California State PTA.
